DSF Balik-Eskwela sa Kahanginan Program airs at DXDR

NEIL PULIDO, Dipolog School of Fisheries embarked into a nother milestone in promoting its advocacy providing I nformation and training accessibility on radio coverage which aimed to help alleviate economic life of poor and marginalized families in the remote areas of the community and the neighboring municipalities as well.

The program entitled DSF- ESKWELA SA KAHANGINAN is aired on RMN DXDR on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This is the first that the school indulged into this mode of communication in reaching its target beneficiaries especially those in the remote areas.
There are a lot of qualifications that the school can offer as an alternative to those who cannot afford to enroll regular courses under CHED but in demand to other places and even to other
countries.

During the first on-air coverage on Monday, August 3, Paring NEIL and Paring NICK as they fondly addressed each other discussed the different qualifications that Dipolog School of Fisheries offered. Aside from the Bachelor of Science in Aquaculture pursuant to the ladderized program of the school, Dipolog School of, Fisheries offered Bachelor of Marine Technology, Caregiving; Housekeeping NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II as among others.

Other topics that were also discussed during the first on-air program were the requirements for admission including those trainings under the Community-based Program of the School.

Mr. Neil A. Pulido and Mr. Nicanor C. Gamus are both instructors of the School. Among the subjects that they handled are, BSAqualculture, Fish Capture and Fish Culture.Mr. Pulido further is also the Chairman of the BFAR Assisted Projects namely the Aquasilviculture Projects and Multi-Species Hatchery. Meanwhile, Mr. Gamus is the DSF GAD Focal (Gender and Development) and the overall chairman of the APACC (Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission). Both were key instructors of the school and responsible of special and other government funded projects implemented in the school.
